Stephen Langford

Stephen LangfordStephen was born in Oklahoma and raised in a Native American family. Stephen did not have all the opportunities that many kids do because his family couldn’t afford them. School was a struggle for Stephen and he never dreamed he would go to college. Sports became an outlet for Stephen and a place where many coaches and adults poured into him. His senior year of high school he received a full athletic scholarship to play college football. Stephen is the first member in his family to receive a college degree. He decided to become a teacher and a coach in hopes of making a difference in the lives of children, just like those coaches did for him. After ten years of coaching Stephen went back to school and earned his masters in school administration. He is currently the assistant principal at Dawson Middle School in Southlake, Texas. Stephen has a passion for serving others, building relationships with students, and helping others achieve their full potential. He has a heart for struggling kids who need support and guidance just as he did. Stephen attributes his success to the coaches who gave him opportunities, invested time and energy in him, and believed in him.
